Mother's Day Out at MGC Kids

Our Mother's Day Out program promotes pre-academic skills through independent and guided play adventures. We use the Adventures in Learning program as a guide for our play based curriculum. This program features 40 topics and has a strong language and literacy emphasis allowing your child to discover new experiences and learn new things in many important developmental areas.

Our day starts with play as everyone arrives. After calendar time, we provide a nutritious snack. Next, we break into age groups to start our Adventures for the day.  

Hikers are approximately up to 2.5 years old.

Campers are 2.5 - 3 years old.

Explorers are 4 years old and up.

Each day your child is at MDO, they will have the opportunity to experience activities that focus on building various skills such as pre-writing, fine motor, sensory, exploratory, art, creativity, and problem solving. This will be done through a variety of mediums and activities.

After eating a lunch provided from home, we have free play time. When the weather permits, we play on our playground. When the weather doesn't want to cooperate, we use a variety of indoor movement activities such as playing in the big gym, dancing, scarf play, hula hoops, etc.

After rest and quiet time, we end our day with books while waiting to be picked up.
